@galacticstone they still struggle with text. Half a dozen of different font sizes and odd looking font is a good sign. For now.
@manpacket I wonder if whoever made it was aware of the sad irony, or if they didn't care. It's like ordering a "No Kings" shirt from Amazon. I feel dirty. lol

@galacticstone text existed before this image. Whoever slopped it together cared about views and engagement, not the idea.

@galacticstone so there is a resource they need to make all these AI datacenters that we can literally just… prevent them from having. Silver. It is surprisingly scarce. If we buy enough of it to make it prohibitively expensive to get: ai datacenters require 3x the amount of silver than a regular datacenter (cooling and conductivity).
Hit them at the resource level: the legislative level has been captured.
Spread the word to make it more effective.

@galacticstone Worse: there's so much destabilizing infrastructure, accelerating to a point of multiple roots of civilization facing growing collapse, that there will probably be too few people to use said RAM.

@manpacket @galacticstone I feel bad that I didn't notice. I wondered why I couldn't see the notch for the RAM and why it seemed to be going in wrong. You can really see the parts it paid the most attention to I guess. Darn. This shouldn't be hard to remake with literally any other image though...
I thought the weird font sizes was a choice, but I wondered why anyone would do that.

@galacticstone To be SCRUPULOUSLY fair, it's possible that quite a few of those GPUs do, technically, exist, but will spend their entire supportable lifetimes in a warehouse in Singapore.

Let's see who ends up with the hot potato in the end! Will it be LLM companies? Will it be Nvidia? Banks? No, probably the tax payer somehow! Hurray, so glad we worship myopic, tech-fixated Silicon Valley morons.

@galacticstone @manpacket since they are currently selling their services underpriced or even free (to create dependency) it's like getting a No King shirt from Amazon and having Amazon paying for it (via a promo code, maybe)

Sadly, the billionaires won't stop acting like entitled assholes merely because the guillotines haven't yet been built by the mob that hasn't yet formed up outside their mansions.
But I'm thinking that if the mob *does* form up, and *does* build some guillotines, we might have a shot.

@galacticstone One way to bring down RAM prices

@galacticstone look at that malformed power connector. It almost has the right amount but one looks melty.
It happens to everyone eventually. I hate how we now have to be so vigilant
