@Em0nM4stodon Its worth mentioning too that if you follow someone, but for whatever reason don’t prefer their boosts, you CAN disable boosts just for that person.
(I’m not offended if someone wants to see stuff I post but doesn’t care for my boosts.)

@admin Self-boost without shame! It's actually good to boost a post at a different time of the day, since the timeline is chronological. It helps reaching out to new people who are active at different times.

@Em0nM4stodon I've been pondering for a while that maybe #mastodon COULD have an algorithm. Or multiple, pluggable ones. All open, transparent, configurable.
The developers of Phanpy tried to implement at least client-side sorting of the feed by importance/interest.
But it turned out so-so, because it sees inaccurate values of boosts and likes.

@Em0nM4stodon also comment! Boosts are nice, but there's nothing like reading words that another person wrote for you!

And don't be shy in calling out admins who silence anti genocide voices.
Make noise, let people know which admins are rogue.
And move instances if you can.
