If you're a pro user of task manager #Todoist like me, you're probably dissatisfied too to hear they're increasing the price 106% to fund racing the LLM-bubble (so called AI features). I've been very satisfied using Todoist for 5+ years in private and at work and this has me looking seriously for an exit. Luckily, there are mature FOSS alternatives by now.

I've been donating to #Vikunja for a couple of years hoping they would solve the last few bits I need to make the switch, esp. better hotkeys. Happy to say they've worked on that issue. Vikunja has some other pros, esp. being faster than Todoist. https://vikunja.io

Another promising project I'm hearing good reviews of, incl. my favorite task management buddy @yungleaf is Super Productivity. Save the awkward name, it seems to have all the features I need and also the added bonus of being local-first, ie. all the stuff is basically lots of small files on your phone or computer. That makes using it potentially very fast, which is the most important feature for any task manager. You can sync the files between devices. https://super-productivity.com
