@Tutanota The issue isn't that you're making a security tradeoff it's that you talk about privacy as if it's absolute, without being upfront about exceptions like this one. If your privacy has limits, say so honestly, instead of marketing it as if it's complete.

So how am I supposed to understand that when I use a VPN to protect my identity, you block me from creating an account? I get that this might be to prevent fraud, but the result is that you're tying my account to my real location from the very first moment.
