@Pepijn i can think of more successful children's things than i can grown-up things

tintin, pingu, bluey, moomins(!), astérix, peppa pig.

for non-english grown-up shows i can only really think of montalbano, engrenages and the bridge. and they're pretty niche (and all about detectives? why are they all about detectives?). i think the language/culture barrier matters much more for adults
