Chances are it will outlive many, many more dry seasons. Taking care by not caring much makes it promising.

@reynir I couldn't understand why it was an issue either. The Borgerservice staff were, as always, really helpful, but it was clear that their guidelines say 'app app app'. They kept assuming I just didn't know how to use a smartphone and patiently trying to explain to me how to use an app and update a phone. The request to have two physical code generators and no app was so unusual that they rang mitID HQ halfway through negotiations. We all got there in the end

@CiaraNi I don't know what OS your phone are running, but some custom androids offer using microG, which solves at least some of the problems with not having google play.

@Pepijn It baffles me that the worst hashtag-offenders are photographers. They want to share a nice image they've taken, then they drown their own photo in a sea of blue hashtags. It's even worse when, as I scuttle quickly past crying My Eyes! My Eyes!, I notice that they took the time to add eight or 11 or 21 hashtags, but no time to do an Alt Text.

I never expected to find so much quiet pleasure from the posts of an erudite, civilized, dignified, kind, GOOD person from the other side of the planet, but here we are. Thank you.

@CiaraNi It's an extraordinary good story. I really loved it. And the TV series really captures the feeling of the book, it was a pleasure re-experiencing the story in images.
