@sashin @vkc like maybe if there could be a "comment is from a blocked instance" banner, that could be a helpful feature. Not showing the comment itself but that a potentially unsavory comment exists. That could at last grant some transparency without having to dunk yourself in the cesspool.

and also, I've noticed POC on Mastodon with similar complaints that are, similarly, minimized or ignored. The Fediverse culture is showing some large-scale bad patterns here. "Progressive" communities and platforms need to quit ignoring and tone-policing people when issues arise.

@vkc with all the bragging about how fedi is built so it can defederate and cut out unmoderated instances, maybe they should try it sometime.
