So Wim Wenders has just demonstrated why he is celebratad by German culture industry in the first place - his work shows no hard edges which could confront you with the dark sides of colonialism and capitalism, he appeases state crimes by pledging for a cinema that hurts nobody except those who are already cut out of the picture like the Palestinians.
He's the perfect choice as director of the jury for the Berlinale which has already proven to support German staatsräson all the way to the last Palestinian driven out of Palestine or killed by the genocidal war machine.
