What are you excited about?

On tuesday at 16:30 at #MellemfolkeligtSamvirkeAarhus, we discuss what tools we as activists are using for internal communication, specifically looking into Matrix (and the Matrix-based app 'Acter').

We've used Signal so far, with broadcast vs working group chats, and our shared docs on cryptpad - but some people don't have a smartphone, which is a requirement to use Signal... So to make our group more accessible (and our communications more organised) we're considering other options.

Our goal: Together, to reimagine and build better digital ecosystems for ourselves and our fellow activists

How: Sharing knowledge between us in the group and holding collaborative learning workshops. For example, supporting each other in migrating to safer digital spaces and tools

We meet Tuesdays on even weeks at 16:30 at Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke - we share the info about our meetings as events on @dukop, and we coordinate internally on @signalapp

Hello world! Here is a little introduction to our relatively new group

Who are we: We are a group of activists based in #MellemfolkeligtSamvirke #Aarhus (ActionAid Denmark) who are together exploring and sharing knowledge of how we can fight surveillance capitalism in our digital spaces

Why we formed: We often rely on digital spaces - for quickly mobilising around the world, for finding new people and groups, for finding events, coordinating, sharing, etc.
