@MThaastrup I think that is lovely. a bike is an awesome thing. a gift is a blessing. and a happy birthday is an experience one takes with them for the rest of ones life. what a beautiful idea to combine all three.
I feel a little bit bad for the rich kids who miss out on these deeply meaningful moment. the journey is different for each of us, but maybe what other people do does not get a vote on how you raise your daughter. your judgement seems like the best tool for that responsibility.
