@Lana Actually, USA can veto the release of article 5, as it requires "agreement", so point 2 is incorrect. NATO and the transatlantic cooperation will still fold, and all the other points remain valid. Also, Europe will have no option but to increase cooperation with the other global power, China(On vetoing article 5: https://cepa.org/article/natos-response-to-aggression-glorious-ambiguity/)

@Lana - and just to be clear, it doesn't have to be some huge force, scaled to repel the entire US military. Just knowing that there is a well-prepared, properly equipped, specialized unit big enough to present significant friction to an assault, remove the assumed advantage of surprise & incur a cost of American lives is enough to give these assholes pause, because yes, they're huge cowards.
