@Lana I would add that they're not only stupid & uninformed - they're *aggressively* stupid & uninformed. They're terminally anti-curious. It isn't just that they actively don't care to know or find out anything; they're hawkishly proud that they don't take in new information. As she experiences it, this woman never changed her view, mind or story, because it was never about any facts or reality, because she doesn't care to know anything, because that makes her the sole arbiter of reality.
