@futurebird It really bugs me when someone I respect technically is a big AI fan.

But "programming" AI is really a form of hacking. You're trying to persuade an LLM to produce the right output. And hacking is really addictive. It's way more fun than project plans, and groups of people working together, and QA. It's a solo effort where you feel like you have a lot of power.

And I think that sucks in a lot of technical people.
