American priorities:
Through four years of war, only 600 patriot missiles have been delivered to Ukraine to save Ukrainians from being killed by Russian ballistic missiles.
But in just a few days, 800 of these missiles have been used in Trump's unnecessary war with Iran.
What right will we have to criticize Putin if he kills Ukrainian president Zelenskyy?
From a legal standpoint, the US has illegally killed the leader of Iran in an illegal war which our leaders are not even criticizing. They are just accepting that the US takes out a leader they do not like, thereby destabilizing a nation of 93 million people.
International law does not allow this, but if we do not uphold international law, what boundaries do we have left to limit dictators like Putin?

Orbán’s government presents this as if Hungary is stopping Ukrainian money laundering. But there is just one problem: If Ukraine was laundering money in Ukraine, that money would go out of Ukraine to buy assets in the EU. But the seized money and gold was travelling from Austria to Ukraine.
In a war, the economy runs on foreign cash, as people realize that the banking systems are often unavailable. And as Ukraine runs a huge trade deficit, it keeps running out of cash, hence the trucks.

Spectacularly corrupt:
Obviously, Ukraine does not want to allow Russian oil flowing through Ukraine to Hungary, while Viktor Orbán is working against Ukraine in the EU.
But being about to lose the Hungarian elections on April 12, a desperate Orbán now seizes two armored bank trucks owned by a Ukrainian bank, travelling from Vienna to Kiev, carrying $40 million, €35 million, and 9 kg gold.
While we are trying to defeat Russia, Orbán is now stealing from Ukraine.

@rhempel nowadays were have the opposite problem, as window signs will often say "Sale!", which is confusing to Danes, as that means "Halls!", as if there is some big rooms inside the building.
Examples that Danish is the most confusing language for English speakers:
In Denmark, when washing machines are done, their displays write, "Slut!", which means "Finished".
When someone enters an elevator, the display changes to "I fart", which means "On the move".
Tourists have difficulty finding a nice WC, because the signs often say "Bad toilet", meaning "Bathroom and toilet".
In lobbies with multiple elevators, one sign may say, "Gods elevator", which means "Freight elevator".

That is 9 million Israelis deciding that 349 million Americans and the world's most powerful military should go to war.

Now I agree with you, that there is a lot of hype surrounding LLMs, and I am certainly open two having a conversation about that. But please beware that the narrow goal posts of present day LLMs, were introduced by you in this conversation, not me.

I opened this thread with a general prediction about the future capabilities of AI systems.
You keep claiming I am wrong, because my post does not fully match your experience with the limitations of present day large language models — which (as you know) is just 1 of many different AI technologies.
These are two very different conversations.

@ArtHarg imagine all of your public posts from your entire life being used to give you an AI enemy score. Once we have the AI enemy score of every individual, we can then start digging for dirt on the top 100 AI enemies.
This is most certainly not the future I was hoping for, but it is where we are headed.
@madsenandersc do we both agree, that the conversation you and I are building right now can be used to assess which one of us is more critical towards AI? And do we also agree, that this conversation is public and can be fed into any AI system and used to rank you and me with regards to our AI scepticism?
