@mikoto No offense but I already know about 十二時辰 because I am a Japanese descendant and living in Japan I am aware of the ways it is still relevant or not, I was wondering if お八つ was based on the the time (which it is) or the sound (which it is not), which is something that even a lot of L1 speakers don't know.
