Why are you aggressive? If the scanning is offline (proven by audits), and the app provides just the signal of you being an adult, nothing more, I see no reason not to use it. That's the only way this can be implemented while maintaining privacy.

@aral @lain they say ID scan is verified on device. If that's true, that could be a good thing.
I've enjoyed using Facebook once, when nobody had a problem posting under their real name, when there was no spam or ads.
