@Viss It is basically already like that, I think Vernor Vinge got it right. If we are still around ages from now it will be layers and layers of legacy code no one understands all the way down.It is a very interesting thought process for someone who is in the depths of software development in big tech to really plan out what such a long term migration would look like just for one company. Once you get it, it is very humbling to realize how hard it really is.

Ever since the 1970s when I saw high school boys playing slaughter ball* I have been convinced we need men's liberation. I've caught a lot of flak over the years for saying that, but you make the argument nicely. We were going that way in the 1970s, but then came the 1980s, and you know how that went. Reagan was the origin of so much that went wrong.

@eri i grew up in a 6k town by one of the wealthiest farming areas in the world. the experiences before i came out were pretty horrendous. at high school a group of boys chased me down on the way home and shot me in the head with a hunting slingshot. much later on i got assaulted and robbed, and the assailant tried to drag me into an alleyway. he was from out of town but he obviously thought it was a good place to target me. so i lived with these sorts of experiences just from being a queer kid and adult in the back of my mind.it was hard to get medical care of any sort, and i had to travel to the city for months to get on HRT. people in positions of responsibility had a callous attitude.but honestly the worst thing was living in a parental home with no other options. getting misgendered and having shitty mental health. dealing with unrealistic economic expectations stuck in the past, and not feeling valued.that town had me suicidal from the moment i woke up.

@anneapplebaum Not gonna happen as long as our weak and embarassing EU "leaders" just sit there and wag their chins and throw some money on the problem. The EU needs to join the war, fast, and make sure russia is humiliated, and then have them go through the historically proven method of Nürnberg trials. The russian people must feel the shame, hard enough, and long enough, so that they will never repeat this mistake. If russia is allowed to benefit, just like in ww2 times, they'll be at it again in 10 years time or so. That our politicians does not understand this truly shows the weakness of modern western democracy and the EU as a whole.

@tofticles jeg havde arrangeret en hel række af sociale ting udenfor arbejdstiden. Fil så ballade for cocktail bar pga alkohol.. de laver så udemærkede mocktails og er meget tæt på arbejdet. Så lavede jeg en række invitationer til at tage på kaffebar . Men det var så en forkert ugedag. Jeg endte med at slette alt fra kalenderen
