    @ana

    Part of me desperately hopes she will bust into this one day...

      @ana
      Decades ago, there was a piper that practiced in an underground parking garage across a major road from my bus stop. The skirling of the pipes, the echoing fullness of the sound - wonderful!

        @ana she may be honoring them to ensure they stay dead and their spirits are not found wanting.

        nobody wants the dead to get restless..

          @ana When I took up bagpipes, it took quite a while before I was sure what to do with the army. Things work out.

            @ana if I was dead and someone kept playing bagpipes nearby, I'd reanimate just to move myself to a quieter cemetery 😅

              @alicemcalicepants @ana

              one of my favorite bagpipe jokes:

              man to bagpiper: "can you play over the hill and very far away"

              bagpiper: "not sure i know that tune.

              man: "no. can you play over the hill and very far away..."

                full disclosure. i do like bagpipe. but only if it's a virtuoso bagpipe player. by my definition, that's a bagpipe player who knows a 3rd song.

                scotland the brave, amazing grace, and a 3rd song. 🙂

                  @ana I'm picturing something from Return of the Living Dead..

                  A Skeleton pops up out of the ground..

                  "So if you don't mind, some of us are trying to sleep down here."

                    @ana the dead are probably only rising to relocate and get some peace from her.

                        @alicemcalicepants @ana My wife agrees that a regular bagpiper would require her to reanimate.

                            @ana Wonder if she’s related to the guy I saw crooning with a karaoke machine in 1960s Dean Martin style by a #Massachusetts lake this week.
