@guitarbomb Great offer - which it turns out I've already redeemed, back when I bought their amp bundle

I never got around to activating it because my music Mac runs Catalina & every time I open UA Connect it updates itself to the latest, not compatible version I do have a legacy UAC tucked away so I can re-install it, but it's pretty fucking annoying - guess I just ran out of patience & then forgot

If anyone knows how to prevent this...

@outer Thanks for the tip! UA Disconnect doesn't work for me, sadly - my MacOS is probably too old; I found a V1.6 legacy version but it doesn't work either, the one I have that does work is 1.5 (current version is 1.9)...

@outer Yeah, it sucks - this is a great example of a company that makes really good products, but still just can't help itself from taking control away from its customers, just on the off-chance that it might drive a sale.

I used to work in marketing/sales & business development & I always asked for the shadow figures: How many sales are LOST because of over-aggressive tactics? Nobody ever wanted to talk about that - it's part of why I left...
