No, seriously - one of the things I discovered when embarking on my deGoogling journey a few years ago was that I never actually needed Google Photos.
It was just suddenly imposed upon me through my GGL account & Android phone & then I used it for years & then when I wanted out I spent a lot of energy vetting replacements before realizing I never chose it to begin with & wouldn't miss it.
