I asked Anthony about it when I bought the amp, because I wasn't sure how loud 15 class A tube watts would be in an apartment & he said "it takes an attenuator really well" & it quickly turned out I'd need one ๐

-and yes, it already sounds sweet with the volume & maybe the guitar rolled back to a neighbor-friendly level, but holy crap, opening it up... ๐คฏ

@jwcph I'm getting my twin reverb back from the repair shop tomorrow and I'm going to have to get an attenuator pretty soon.
I could hear my 4W practice amp at the end of the street, so I'm kinda scared how loud 85W will be.

@iain @jwcph
I read the words Twin Reverb and my ears started involuntarily ringing. I actually left a show one time because the guitarist had his Twin cranked and I couldn't take it WITH earplugs.

8w is about my sweet spot for a home amp. My Princeton Reverb gets louder than I'd prefer. Speaker choice can make a lot of difference though.

@TheGreatLlama @jwcph if I could afford an amp that sounded as good as my twin with only 8W I would get it.
Itโs not a home amp, itโs not even an amp for a venue with capacity less than 2k. I got it when I was young and stupid and in a band and had aspirations of playing big venues. *spoilers* we didnโt.

@TheGreatLlama @iain I'd been looking around for tube amps in the 3-10 watt range, so basically practice amps - there's quite a few of them around & some of them get really good reviews - but then I started seeing videos of this one and, well...

My young aspirations were roughly arena sized.
