Did you ever have one of these in your home?
Today's kids simply don't understand The Struggle.I remember memorizing all my friends' phone numbers, and when I tried to call a girl, I had to speak to their Dad first because he always answered the phone.

@DrOinFL I just had a moment of anxiety when I read the words “had to speak to their Dad first”. Oh god that was the worst.

My mother still had one until the day she died (aged 91) in 2014 🫣

@DrOinFL We had almost exactly the same rolodex at our house growing up, except it was beige, with a dark brown button and black letters.
And there were some of my friends whose phone numbers I memorised. -

@DrOinFL Our phone numbers where too short to write down, you just memorize them. We had cloth hangers with two digit phone numbers to the local cloth shop, fuzes with two digit phone number to the local electrical company. The only numbers we wrote down was distant relatives that had area and/or country codes in front of the number.

@stufromoz @DrOinFL we had that beigish orange version. Mmm mmm mmmm.
