I suspect the point is that many are betting to the the fact that always more people are using AI and LLM models to get their job done. So what you need is basically a browser, and Linux and ChromeOS can get you a browser for free.
These models can connect through API to your cloud documents, you don't need anymore Win cause you need to have office, the latter is on the cloud too.

@Dendrobatus_Azureus @cainmark Lenovo has had this option for awhile, just be aware to get Fedora or Ubuntu pre-installed might save a few bucks but the lead time is longer (it adds a few weeks IIRC). My X1 Carbon (bought a couple of months ago) came with Windows 11 preinstalled, first thing I did was ditch windows and install Fedora 43 KDE Plasma.
