Your table is ready, friends. (If you like to eat grass and dandelions, that is.)

@sundogplanets I enjoy making dandelion tea with the flowers but I think I’ll pass as these dandelions appear to have raisins all over them. 😜

@sundogplanets love this! Many people consider them weeds, but I thinkt they're pretty, particularly when you take a close look at all the intricate petals. Also not just tasty for goats .. Have you every tried making dandelion jelly? It's surprisingly tasty!

@EvelineSulman @sundogplanets I like making it from the flowers. I pick 10-12 flowers, toss them in my teapot, along with a little mint, lemon or orange peel. Add boiling water. Let it steep for 10 min and enjoy. Oh, be sure to remove the green base of the flower or the tea will be too bitter. I enjoy it hot or I let it cool, refrigerate and enjoy cold. I enjoy it unsweetened but my wife adds honey. It’s supposed to be a very healthy drink but I just find it refreshing.

@EvelineSulman @sundogplanets Beware where you collect the flowers that the area isn’t treated with chemicals.

@ennenine @sundogplanets dandelions are weeds but many plants are but very useful. Not in the middle of a carefully manicured lawn perhaps. Good for nature though.

Fun fact, in French they're called Pissenlit which loosely translates to wet the bed (lot. piss on the bed) because of the flower shape.

@sundogplanets Dandelion greens are great for eating in salad. They sell them in the health food stores for those in urban areas.
