The solution? Simple! Express your privacy preferences once, for example via your browser or device, and have them respected permanently.
A proposal to end this tracking circus is currently on the table of EU lawmakers – and could easily simplify things for everyone in the European Union. Related: we never needed those in the first place, but for malicious compliance.

@noybeu And last but not least if the banners will really be killed, most VLOPs sites will continue with visitor stitching and track everything in a hidden server to server way.
So given that, the server infrastructure would have to be inspected from time to time by official inspectors. Who should do that? Which organisation do you trust.
It's a mess.
BTW: I'm angry to Mozilla hiding the Google Analytics requests in Dev Tools beside they are clearly coming through with almost all data.

But why do they not show these analytics request in dev tools?
I can see them! All of them which are running through my clients websites with Server Side GTM. All tracking parameters are unchanged, same same, no privacy.
They still could profile and target people, I can redact this before Google, but not before Mozilla Servers are reached.

It... already exists. Most browsers give the option to refuse all cookies.
It also already existed before the RGPD, that's why the RGPD was completly useless about dealing with cookies. -

@noybeu fair point. Though from a perspective of coordinating a LOT of human action, you want to minimize the amount of friction for everyone.

@noybeu I've heard claims the resolution does more than just give a brower-level "reject all optional" but I need to verify that claim.
