@sheepfilms All of these are viable, the baguette chooses it's gait based on how fast it wants to go and the surface it wants to traverse, just like a horse.

Before you answer 3 - I made 3 more baguettes that don't distort 🙂(plus a snake one because I felt like it)

@sheepfilms I'm happy we're thinking about the big questions in life today.

        I'm torn between 1 and 4.

@sheepfilms Thinking more about this, we are missing important information. Are we talking about a proper bakery baguette or these horrors from the supermarket for whom 8 would not result in texture change?

Also -- where does it live?

@sheepfilms 1. Any fast movements are going to damage the crust. I think 1 is probably the easiest type of motion to execute extremely slowly. It probably moves about 1cm a week.

What an utterly absurd question "If a baguette could move, how would it move?"

              Obviously it's #4!

@sheepfilms But they *can* move. They use mind control to coerce a Frenchman to carry them.

@sheepfilms A good baguette should have a crispy crust, so I was going to answer 3 on that basis, but I think 6 looks much steadier. I can see the baguette sneaking up on a charcuterie board and giving the soft cheese a big smooch.

@sheepfilms I love that you realized that you erred I quickly self-corrected: indeed it is not in the essence of baguettes to bend. My personal preference is 7 but 6 is a close second.
