Ha, the gendering is so stupid.
The boys were creating very cool things with wood, metal, saws, and much more. All I had was a sewing machine (if I was 'lucky') but for the rest it was knitting and so on. Boring. I mean; it can be fun and I actually like it, but I really would have loved doing something the boys did. But alas, we were not allowed.I was very good at swimming (super fast) but I was afraid to dive. So, I preferred swimming alone to avoid the bullying.
@pascaline @benroyce I struggle to sew now because it was so gendered in school. I'd rather they taught ALL of us to knit and sew....but we did a little sampler work once but it wasm't a thing.
Also being 'knot blind' doesn't help. It's not exactly dyspraxia but something like that, I can't tie knots at all, ties are a problem.

I've been told that my vote for a third party helped Harris in the last election... I've been told that my third party vote helped Trump in the last election.
Both can't be true.. and if they are, then I need to be arrested and jailed for voter fraud, because that means I voted three times with one vote.

if i am left leaning, i prefer the 3rd party candidate, but if that candidate doesn't win, i certainly don't want trump

@benroyce There is also a european wide campaign going to migrate away from US big tech. That one is going to hurt even more.
So far I've gotten rid of the streaming services, the social media, Microsoft and amazon. I'm currently working on leaving Google but that one is a bit more tricky. -

News flash, protest no longer works in this country, people need to get angrier. Gestapo has no fear. They don't. They'll catch you anywhere and they know you won't fight back.
@macacator @benroyce @lynfox The real danger point here is when the population starts wholesale shooting back. This is what Humpty wants, and it’s something to be avoided, unless we want the situation to deteriorate and turn into an actual violent uprising.
I won’t insist there isn’t a time and place for shooting, but we’re far from there yet. Once Marshall law is declared, we could be in for a wild ride.
