well... in my (unpopular) opinion, if are my data that are collected and used, I am the person who has the right to RECEIVE money.
RECEIVE money for data use, and not give money to avoid being tracked.

It's very easy to convince someone who is in material need to sell things that they wouldn't otherwise sell and that will be detrimental to their rights, this is what despair does. Despaired people do this sort of thing often.
Selling private data erodes the environment for privacy for all, and is an attack on a Human Right.

@katttivizzima Any private data transference should be done exclusively non-commercially and for the interest of the data subject, while informing, and ideally also while getting consent (except when there are other legal requirements such as a lawful legal investigation)...

so you state that it is ILLEGAL for a human being to sell theyr own NAVIGATION data (and not personal data) but is OK to let the website and big tech grab them?

@katttivizzima I never talked about navigation data, because, navigation data can be personal data, in the sense that it can be used to personally identify someone, either directly, or by associating that data with other data (this is what the Law defines as personal data).

Well, in the past weeks I had PrivacyBadger installed. And then I refused all the non technical cookie.
And you know what? I found up to more than 30 tracking cookie sent to my browser in some websites after REFUSING non essential cookies.
Our data are already on the market. The customer simply is the one who do not benefits and is profiled over and over.
My proposal is aimed to stop data selling, not to make money. -

I agree, me neither.
That is why I write to many websites pointing out their fault (and in the most "dangerous" cases I activate Authorities).
An I use Privacy badger, so I limit big tech tracking, bu I think of others and act. -

@katttivizzima data being about navigation, or fuel consumption, is not something that exists outside the classification of data as personal data, or non-personal data, it's just a different type/level of classification.
