🍪🇳🇴 Today, we have filed a joint complaint with Forbrukerrådet against the news publisher #Schibsted for implementing a “Pay or Okay” system across its products, setting a dangerous precedent for free consent across the Nordic countries.

@katttivizzima I didn't stated it's illegal, let me quote what I said:
«I hope that unpopular, selling personal data should never under any circumstances be ok, it should not only be illegal but a crime.»
This means that I believe it should, not that it's.
@katttivizzima I never talked about navigation data, because, navigation data can be personal data, in the sense that it can be used to personally identify someone, either directly, or by associating that data with other data (this is what the Law defines as personal data).
-
@katttivizzima Any private data transference should be done exclusively non-commercially and for the interest of the data subject, while informing, and ideally also while getting consent (except when there are other legal requirements such as a lawful legal investigation)...
Well, in the past weeks I had PrivacyBadger installed. And then I refused all the non technical cookie.
And you know what? I found up to more than 30 tracking cookie sent to my browser in some websites after REFUSING non essential cookies.
Our data are already on the market. The customer simply is the one who do not benefits and is profiled over and over.
My proposal is aimed to stop data selling, not to make money. -

Oh, thanks!
I see my fault! I never intended personal in that way, just navigation.
Thank you for pointing out my misspoke! -

This is why I not only take multiple technical steps, but I also finance @noybeu, and I'm a member of other digital rights organizations that fight to protect our rights.

@katttivizzima let me quote you:
« if are my data that are collected and used, I am the person»
Do you see how this can be interpreted as personal data?
Now let me quote myself about the definition of personal data:
«navigation data can be personal data, in the sense that it can be used to personally identify someone, either directly, or by associating that data with other data (this is what the Law defines as personal data)»

I agree, me neither.
That is why I write to many websites pointing out their fault (and in the most "dangerous" cases I activate Authorities).
An I use Privacy badger, so I limit big tech tracking, bu I think of others and act. -

@katttivizzima data being about navigation, or fuel consumption, is not something that exists outside the classification of data as personal data, or non-personal data, it's just a different type/level of classification.
