    @FediTips I think a friend of mine tried that and for whatever reason, boosts were still showing for them when using the Tweesecake client, might have also been TWBlue, I can't remember lol.

    @alexchapman

    Ah sorry to hear that! It sounds like the Tweesecake or TWBlue developers need to fix a bug?

    It should be hiding them.

      If you follow someone and you enjoy their posts but you don't like their boosts, you can hide just their boosts:

      1. Click on their name or picture to go to their profile page
      2. Click ⋯
      2. Select "Hide Boosts"

      If you change your mind, go back to their profile and select "Show Boosts".

      @FediTips But what about when I just don't want to see when they boost their own posts repeatedly?

          @leeolds @FediTips this happened to me a few times... I just gave up and unfollowed.

            @leberschnitzel

            There's no separate option for that, but if you've seen the same boost (from anyone) within the last 40 posts it won't be shown.

            By the way, the self-boosting is usually done for reaching people in different time zones but this usually means it's done many hours apart.

              There is no separate option for that. Usually people follow accounts to see their posts?

                  @bitsnpieces

                  It should be in the profile under ⋯ if you're following the account?

                  At least it does on the latest version of the official iPhone app? (It's also on third party apps)

                    @FediTips @jnk I think following someone for their ability to curate is useful, and not uncommon.

                      Yes of course, it's just rarer for people to just want the curation without any posts at all.

                      But that's a totally valid point of view 👍
