@Ann_Effes @FediTips BlueSky has a feature called "Starter Packs" and Mastodon has made its own copy of that feature in 4.6, but named it Collections.
A Collection is a user-generated group of people that can be shared to help other people find similar accounts (frequently when just starting on a network).
So you could have a Collection of sci-fi writers, or the @desertbus moderators, or folks who knit, or whatever.
It's usually "If you like me, you'll probably like these folks, too."

Mastodon's server software has just been updated to add a new feature called "Collections", which let people create a set of good accounts that they recommend other people follow.
Not everyone wants to be in a "Collection", so there is a box that needs to be ticked before it can happen.
