@agturcz@circumstances.run eeeeeeeh, complex question
am non-binary but i usually go with she/her and all, so it's not an evidence that i'd go with they/them
also add the plurality bs on top of it and yeah
long answer short; yes am fine with they/them@ctrl Thanks. That's the deficiency of internet polls. If that had been a scientific research, there would be more questions about the profile. Just to get proper data for plurals it would require at least three questions, with one specific to the plurality.

@agturcz it's surely in common use in everyday speech, I don't know why everyone gets so het up about it. i mean if I see a missing umbrella I say oh someone's left their umbrella behind, maybe they will come back for it.
In other news i'm cisgender heterosexual and boring as they come, couldn't care less if you use they/them for me

@agturcz I'm binary, identify as a woman but sometimes look a bit traditionally gender non-conforming. I'm perfectly fine with people who don't know my pronouns using they/them, but once they know I'd rather they used she/her. I resent feeling like I have to look like someone else's idea of what a woman should look like to be acknowledged as one, I should be the one who gets to define my gender even if I express that a bit differently than many other women

@agturcz I personally use they/them when I don't know a person's pronouns, so it's only fair I accept the same thing being done to me.
Though considering English is not my native language, and mine doesn't really have an equivalent, it's never happened outside the Internet.

@agturcz I'm CIS, but as long as you're respectful, you can even call me a bitch. They/them is a-okay.

@agturcz My native language does not have concept of gendered pronouns, so those are not really a ingrained concept. Which means those don't really have any weight for me, so I don't really care what pronoun is used about me. (I do try to get them correct for others as people have alien cultural structures and it might matter to them, even though it has little to no meaning to me)

@agturcz Cis/het woman with an unusual first name. Fine with they/them if someone is unsure, prefer she/her if you know I'm a woman.
(Spent the middle part of my life throwing out junk mail addressed to "Mr." and three years showing up at hotels in Europe and periodically having to explain that I am madame not monsieur and can I please have my room key.)

@agturcz I voted "yes obviously enby" but it's a misconception that all enbies use they/them or that they/them is only for enbies.

@ninafelwitch The first part I will remember, thank you for spotting that. The second part is the reason of this poll

@agturcz Binary, but I'd prefer binary pronouns. if someone calls me "they/them" because they don't know, I wouldn't be offended. (But would probably give correct ones.)

@agturcz I'm a cis woman, but have always used gender-neutral handles on-line for various reasons, so on-line, it's almost always they/them from people who don't know me. In queerer circles, I've occasionally been they/themmed by people who have seen a photo/ met me and have several context clues but haven't heard any preference expressed, and that's cool too.

@agturcz I am NB, but despise being called they/them. I find it dehumanizing. I'm NB, not neuter. He/him or she/her are both fine.
I respect other people's desire to be called they/them, but I cringe inside every time I have to do it.
-
@agturcz I am the most standard cis het male guy, and I absolutely don't mind being called by they/them.
