They promised to be open and all they did was take open source code and close it. That doesn't build trust and if they are willing to lie before they even launch I don't trust them with my id

@EUCommission how bizarre to be promoting a random VC-funded social network when you've barely put the same effort into promoting Mastodon. This has a shady feeling to it.
"The same" effort? Have they really done that? All I've seen are a couple of posts from them about being on Mastodon.

You can suggest W Social to host an ActivityPub technology. -

And aren’t commercial goals and public responsibility slightly conflicting interests, not that politicians seems to have a problem with that?

@Gargron From what I've read, W is super sketchy and run by a for profit organization. That means they're either planning on selling customer data or feeding ads. No thank you very much.
