What happens if I reactivate an old account on an instance I migrated away from? Not to move back, just to have an alt account.
I don't want to migrate my current followers to the reactivated account. I don't want to reactivate it if it would somehow mess up my current account. I'd just like to have accounts on both instances.
UPDATE: I did it! Reactivating just unlinked the accounts so the username is live again. Easy as pie. Thanks to all who shared.

@kmherkes I did it 30 days after I moved here from c.im. Works fine.

@kmherkes the accounts stay separate by default so all should be okay.

@kmherkes i just moved off SDF but left that account in place because basically none of my followers came along (or some other stuff). I do still use it occasionally and it doesn't seem to affect this account.

It won't break the transfer but make sure all followers have moved because it will stop moving followers. Other than that, nothing else will go back to the old account so you could just let it sit there. @kmherkes
