Nowadays they're barely even trying to hide that they DGAF what us peons want.The real reason their action/inaction almost always belies their words isn't cowardice, or "getting fooled", or ineptitude (the excuses they've been using for decades). The real reason is they're every bit as much beholden to their billionaire patrons as the Republicans.The Dems' job is to give us false hope, so we don't take it into our own hands.

@Oyu_Fka Australia uses preferential (ranked-choice) voting.It means you can vote for minor parties without being a "spoiler" or "wasting" your vote.Eg if you vote 1 greens, but they fail to get a majority, your vote goes to your second choice. And so on.It puts a lot of pressure on corrupt duopolies & can lead to green-labour, etc. coalitions@wood5y @Su_G
