And makes me think we memory-holed that first - the sheer enormity of that day could not be processed in any culturally-available way. So we've been getting a lot of practice.

@healyn yeah, people oozed goodwill for like 2 weeks. I wore Navajo jewelry for months afterwards but my brother caught it hard (we're half Pakistani).

@healyn my job is tech project management. A lot of people had it much worse.
But a factor that does get forgotten is that medicine involves a huge amount of people. Pharmacists, admins, janitors, doctors, nurses, warehouse workers, IT staff, etc. A lot of us saw this directly.

Fauci is a damn hero if anything.

@StevenSavage @healyn My sister worked a vax bus in Nashville. Had a magno lassi today and remembering her story of when the bus went to a local Indian community center, who kept them stocked with mango lassies and as much as they could eat all day. It truly was a weird time.
