However, it now turns out, this “photo” was AI generated by the Israeli military, because they have no real evidence of a connection between the journalist and Hezbollah.
France 24 has the story.
@randahl The Israelis are evil, let's face it. Turns out you can be a fascist even though others of the same ideology mass killed your great-grandparents by shooting them at ditches or in gas chambers that resembled showers.

making it illegal is the easy part
it's enforcement that should be your concern
if a law is not enforced, or can't be enforced, it has no meaning
so i'm not saying don't fight AI disinfo. in fact i agree: make it illegal so at least there is a rationale to punish those guilty of it. as a starting point
but then the real effort begins. how to identify it effectively. how to punish it effectively
that's the hard part. the real work
"illegal!" just doesn't cut it, alone

@randahl Israel has become the terrorist state.
@pg1958 we will find out at the Knesset elections on October 26, if this is Israel or just a rogue government.
For the Israelis' own sake, I hope they kick Netanyahu out.

@randahl I agree with you that he needs to go, same as trump in America but it's more than one person. The atrocities occurring in the West Bank, Gaza, America and now Lebanon are not one offs. They are evidence of a systemic societal problem imo.
