Remember, the reason you're there to doomscroll in the first place is you have to be there because it's where all your friends are - leaving, or even just dialing down, makes you fear missing out.
If people could e.g. have a clean RSS-type feed of just their friends' posts from any SoMe platform, the risk of getting trapped drops hard.
