@TheZeldaZone The formula that explains all of this is simple. Ads work better on gullible people. One finds gullible people by creating content that normal people reject, but gullible people don't. Serve ads on that content & profit. This toxic masculinity content, that for normal people is easy to see is nonsense, is just one of the many types specifically crafted to appeal to a critical thinking deficient audience that will click ads. I've been alone for 6 years, no friends, no girlfriends, but I don't listen to any of those podcasters to "inspire" me. Idk. I just find it boring watching some guys & gals talk about life and some other stuff on the screen. I just listen to old music
I really don't fucking understand this objectifying women narrative cos I learned that women are humans deserving of equal respect.

as the OP subject here is the manosphere's effect upon male loneliness (huge issue with gen a and z guys), shy and neurospicy guys who aren't part of *that* mess aren't the subject..Their loneliness issues are another conversation entirely.

@TheZeldaZone @waitworry in the past the male loneliness epidemic was driven by (some) men's closest female person they could talk to being their mother, and then replacing that person with their wives but no other emotional outlet, especially if their wife leaves or passes away

I met some of these guys in the wild almost 20 years ago - this stuff isn't new, just more mainstream. Lonely boys and men, especially young ones get sucked in & believe it - it's sad. They're just looking for community and people with similar struggles. Often they have experienced a lot of social rejection as kids.I think before this crap was on the internet socially awkward people of all persuasions found each other through nerd interests but now they shut themselves away.
