I guess I'm dreading trying to explain to my wife that we may need to change password managers because of these twisted relationships and wondering if maybe I'm being overly reactionary.

For example, I have a Framework laptop and they've supported Omarchy in the past. But would switching to Lenovo or Dell really be any better? What's the harm I'm trying to address?

Every product that claims to provide "convenience" these days deserves a good look under the microscope. 1pw big thing is password sync? That's a minor inconvenience I'm willing to shoulder myself.

@stanley @ben It should be noted that Omarchy as a project is (in the words of its creator) specifically political to “keep clowns out of Linux”.

By clowns he means trans people and that they’re mentally ill and should be laughed at and forcefully driven out.
