@libreoffice it's funny that some features are so obviously controversial that you have to apologise and put out a disclaimer whenever you mention it at all

@libreoffice Will fresh installs default to the new tabbed interface? Will users be presented with a choice on installation as to which interface to use? How about on existing installations - will users get switched without being given a choice?

@Infoseepage @libreoffice afaic there is a choice upon a new installation, otherwise it stays as is.

@Infoseepage As @simulo says, there's been a selector for new installations for a few years now

@Infoseepage @libreoffice afaic there is a choice upon a new installation, otherwise it stays as is.
@simulo @libreoffice Really hope this is the case because I have a lot of older users who I was able to convince to switch to Libreoffice because it presented a more classical user interface similar to what they were used to from older versions of Microsoft Office before office went all ribbon bar. I've got some users who are extremely resistant to any form of change.

@lianna It's just for social media. Every time we say "Some people in the LibreOffice community are working on X", people here come out and say "But I don't want X" or "You should be working on Y instead". So we try to pre-empt that, but people will complain anyway about free things

@libreoffice Needs to get integrated into the title bar.
