      @mynameistillian
      if you boot it from a linux live usb, does it also crash?

      if yes, then it's for sure a hardware issue. if not, then more likely to be a software issue, right?

      > My laptop performs faster when gaming when plugged into a charger. I don't know why.

      maybe a cpu governor enablining power-saving when the power is disconnected?

        @pelle the thing w linux is that it just straight up started freezing or blacking out for no reason when i used it, back when i was still dualbooting. i could try reinstalling it, though

          ok, i am also not a techie, but just guessing, really.

          if windows does bsod and linux freezes, then i think it's likely a hardware issue (because your device crashes running entirely different software).

          it happens during high-intensity tasks? perhaps try enabling every power-saving option you can to keep the processors cool.

          if this stops the bsod, then it's probably an overheating issue. and the power-saving settings will then at least mitigate the bsod, even if it means slowing down your device.

          if not, then maybe it's more likely to be an issue with the ram, when a lot is used?

            @mynameistillian You can try it with a live distro. But repeat BSODs on Windows is often a sign of either a severely broken driver or a hardware issue. To me, Linux *also* having similar issues *definitely* suggests some kind of hardware issue as the underlying cause. Usually I would suspect bad RAM, but you've already tried swapping that out... I would probably run memtest86+ overnight or so just to stress the system; if that doesn't crash, try a Linux live boot. Process of elimination.

                95°C? 🥵 sounds like overheating issue then. to avoid bsod, enable all power-save options.

                    ok, then apply fresh cooling paste to cpu, and get a cooling stand for the laptop.

                    or start playing games in dosbox or retroarch instead of fortnite 😉
