Just the trouble I went through to watch that clip (gatekeepers who are easily challenged by consumers with demands, lol) shows you how they can't make this powerful, unless you pay for it.
It's like the encryption app that won't work unless all your friends use it—and they all don't.

Lenovo just defaulted all their Thinkpads to Linux Ubuntu, all on their own, only as the result of consumer complaints about the latest Microsoft release.

@tante I have a dream, AI can help us and can be helpful tool, but needs to be in hands of people not corporations. imagine something like distributed LLM running some federated way, allowing parcitipants to prompt for exchange of some small portion of compute time of their machine. Trained the same way. Project seti[at]home can be inspiration. And yep I know I have declare now myself as enemy of state and fediverse, but I truly believe this shall be way. We can eradicate AI datacenters, distribute energy usage cross world, save water and destroy that technobross seizure of our future.

I cannot express enough how disgusting and inhuman I believe Sam's statement is. There needs to be an island for folx who have chosen not to engage as humans with other humans. That this is presented as a normal human being with a normal human thought is mind boggling. -

@tante how many tokens do you really need when they are practically free and you have some time to kill? they are already losing billions, the toxic combo of bill, sam, and elon has effectively killed any hopes of acting in good will or good faith with these guys. There are alternatives, i think it is going to take small biz a few years but viable alternatives will crop up that will alter opportunity cost, cut out the middleman #frank is dead #fair use LV
