@The_Universality Except it doesn't, because you're not forced to use it. When cars are gone, the local economies thrive.
Your cars are destroying everything.
@KittenKoder It doesn't what? Make one enslaved to time-schedule because they're not forced to use it?
If you work few hours away from somewhere the public transport schedule needs you to plan around it.
Is that a bad thing? I'd say no. But you can't deny you'd have to obey it, unless you'd want to miss your connection.
If that wouldn't be the case, why do we see so many cars. (Especially in the parking plots called cities in America & Canada).

@KittenKoder As for "Your cars are destroying everything." vehicles with tires are indeed rather harmful to the environment, whether electrical or combustion. Although, combustion engines positively (as in being more harmful) contribute to this as well.
This, however, shouldn't warrant a global wide tired vehicle ban. No.
We should invest flush money into the effective less pollutant modes of transport, such as trains, trams, metros & (trolley)busses.
So the cars would be less wanted. -

@The_Universality No, it really doesn't. You motorists have this really bad habit thinking long distance travel is both desired and required every day.
Most humans only want to go a few blocks for everything, no one wants to travel to the next town just to buy some fucking milk.
-
@The_Universality Holy fuck, you really think the Hollywood movies are accurate. Then you cite a debunked blog post from some capitalist scumbag.
@KittenKoder You are either unable to read/understand or are intentionally fauling.
First, it is Hollywood what renders Wild West as unruly place where everyone shoots someone for them taking their seat.
This doesn't happen in reality, rather the opposite.
This, by the way, happened after being armed was permitted in Washington.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/31/AR2009123103039.htmlThe logic is quite simple, if you want to rob someone, you'll rob one unarmed as they have less resources to guard and protect themself.

@The_Universality Crime falls when you have socialism, yes. But the Wild West was a horrible time and place to live in, the fucking robber barons were shooting people who disagreed with them.

"A free country doesn't track innocent citizens."@Tutanota totalitarian gangsters are collapsing society right now, to protect your life, you need a email that not collect evidence for thought police to maintain totalitarian regime, and that email might be tuta

@The_Universality Yes, we should ban all the tired vehicles.
@KittenKoder No.
This is similarly dumb as to ban oil mining and then wondering why there is no medication to be bought.
It should be made less appealing, dramatically so.
The alternative, (if you can call it that) is either to build rail everywhere or to let the economy die altogether.
Which I seriously hope you realize what could cause. It would certainly not be win for the nature I can tell you that.

@The_Universality What the fuck? Your stock in oil is no justification for destroying the planet. The oil needs to be banned too.
You don't have time to "be less dramatic" because lazy fucks like you are delayed it so long people are now dying.
-
@The_Universality I have zero respect for motorists and people who argue with fallacies. I support regulated gun ownership, keep them out of the hands of violent criminals and psychopaths.
@KittenKoder This seems as a misunderstanding here.
I do in no way in hell want psychotic/sociopatic, less cognitively equiped and mentally unfit people to have weapons.
I want all the lawful people to have them. So that they can protect themselves if being attacked.

Wait, why are you calling me a motorist?I don't like cars. I prefer public transport.
(Because unlike when driving a car I can read books in public transport)What I'm arguing is that you can't ban cars altogether.
Also, from the way you are describing this situation, I'd take the liberty as to consider you being in the US or Canada.
That may explain why you are so hostile to my arguments as you might never had experience EU cities. (Simply a proper city not the US slop)
-

@KittenKoder Socialism? What? That's not how it works.
It doesn't matter whether you have Socialistic, Communistic or Capitalistic way of managing commodities.
The impact regarding crime is being caused by:
- one's well-being
- one's education
- one's ability to protect themselfIdeologies (unless xenophobic, radical or extremist in nature), do not have such a large impact on crime as those three.
People who can afford food and are educated have less incentive to do crime.

@The_Universality You literally jumped in defending motorists, you are clearly a fucking motorist, stop lying about that.
You're doing the "I'm atheist but .." bullshit.

@KittenKoder Ok stop.
These argumentation faults are getting outta hand.
Few posts I've told you we should restrict mining oil for the purpose of burning it. (That's mostly transport and energy production.)
Oil is however a crucial backbone of a lot of industries. Manufactured rubber, medication, fertilizers, and so on.
Guess what is most of the oil used for? Just for burning it. That's what should be gradually banned, not oil, but this very stupid usage especially since we have alternatives

@The_Universality The fucking planet is burning and capitalism is destroying lives while morons are building more data centers to accelerate the destruction of the human species. You're not panicking when you should be because you've been infantilized by the shit the capitalists have been feeding you.
We have non-oil versions of literally everything.

@The_Universality Then you want less guns.
@KittenKoder Read...
Please.
You can write so you can read as well.
I've said the opposite.
The link to the book. All is explained there including studies and real world examples.

@The_Universality Yes, socialism is how you help everyone get all their needs met.
@KittenKoder I'll use an argumentation fault here, but since it can help everyone, the criminals will be surely happy.
First, although (as any system) socialism has its benefits, it definitely won't and it definitely can't help everyone and meet everyone's needs.
Not Socialism, not Capitalism, not Communism and not Corporativism.
Neither can.
You won't fix the world with socialism.
Marx greatly pointed out the issues with Capitalism. But his solution is ineffective at best.
