I just noticed that when you charge an iPhone with a non-Apple charger it says SLOW CHARGER on the lock screen, which leads me to be absolutely, 100% sure that Apple deliberately throttles charging with other chargers.

@jwcph In my experience, it only does that with either a 5W charger or a really crappy cable, regardless of the origin of either.

@whybird That's what I would have normally thought, but at this point I'd feel like a dupe if I didn't assume the worst.
Also, I just checked - it's a 20W charger & the cable came with the phone.
