It's because they believe the lazy & stupid "Walking Dead", "World War Z" version; that under pressure everyone will immediately turn on each other & become selfish, violent opportunists.

You know, because that's what THEY would do. Because they fucking suck as human beings & therefore fundamentally can't grasp the concept of community.

@jwcph they've been guzzling a doctrine of individualism their entire lives. Not Nationalism, Patriotism, Capitalism or Religion moves the conservative current like Individualism.
