I find it sad to see that some actors within the Fediverse like @fediversereport or @FediTips use their range to spread political messages or politicalize the Fediverse.

I don't think it should be done in the name of the Fediverse, but rather on a personal account like @FediThing (personal account of FediTips) which they sadly haven't done.
I unsubscribed (RSS Feed) Connected Places a while ago due this and have mixed feelings about following FediTips, they really provide useful information, but also inregulary make posts with a strong political bias.
The Fediverse's political stance is just as decentralized as itself. It's not a left or right social media platform.

You can't demand free volunteer work from people and then say that they should not express opinions about injustice. The reason people do volunteer work is usually because they are trying to help others who need help.
I run my accounts and sites and put most of my spare time into them because of things like this:
Corporate social networks are killing people and threatening vulnerable groups. I am trying to help build non-corporate alternatives.

@FediTips Sorry, you've misunderstood me. It's not a demand. I'm just expressing my personal opinion. You're free to have your own opinion. I just don't think that "FediTips" which say in its biography (and other places) "Posting tips and answering questions about how to use Mastodon and the Fediverse
" is the right place for that. Instead e.g. posting about Bluesky's recent happenings on @FediThing and boost it via the FediTips account is a much better approach. It gives people the choice to block political content if they want to, while still benefiting from your great volunteer work. -

Me helping people on here is directly because of the awful behaviour of corporate social networks.
If corporate social networks are pretending to be decentralised and hosting vile people that promote war crimes, it is important to warn people. I warn people for exactly the same reason I post tips.
People are getting harassed, kidnapped and murdered. This is a 1930s point in history, politics is not optional.
