    @libreoffice fascinating to see the same grey dull background color in start center after so many years 😥

        @libreoffice A few months ago, I installed the (.deb) version from the official website. I think I need to learn how to update it.

          @Purplegengar25 @libreoffice A suggestion: if you download via the software app, it should take care of upgrades for you.

          What distribution are you on?

            @OrionKidder @libreoffice Debian stable.
            I didn't get the flatpak, but I downloaded the recent version from their official website.

              @Purplegengar25 @libreoffice Same here!

              FWIW, I loaded LO as a flatpak via the Software app, and all I have to do to keep it current is occasionally click the update button.

                @libreoffice I'm quite interested in the updated ribbon-like interface. How quickly do these updates tend to filter their way down to the various distros, does anyone know?

                      @tehstu That depends totally on the distro. Some are quick, some take a lot longer! Best to ask the distro maintainers 😊

                          @libreoffice You have a permissive AI policy, though, when it comes to developing these apps, assuming my knowledge is still up to date.

                            However... MalwareBytes is blocking both direct & torrent downloads "due to tracking attempts" ??? & Firefox is rejecting the mirror sites. Screenshots attached. Please advise?

                              @libreoffice Any idea why downloads of the .torrent files for 26.8.0 are failing?

                              It's variously failing during TLS handshake, or after some timeout later on. I'm also seeing some returned HTML content about "504 Gateway Time-out", but no actual torrent files.

                              NB: I'm trying to use either wget or curl to download the torrent files, as I have a script to grab the lot so as to help with the torrents. However, it's not working in Firefox either, i.e. doesn't look like some anti-AI/bot challenge not working for wget/curl.

                                    Yes, it looks like it's Intel Core i5 on this Windows laptop (work-issued device) - I'll give the X86-64 a try.
