@FediTips Sorry about off-topic question, but I really don't know whom to ask. I wanted to create a special account mostly for news and announcements about software and services my small company provides. I'll of course respond to support requests and engage in communication, but it's not planned to be a personal account, rather a company-focused thing. Would you suggest an instance where it's appropriate? Ideally with more than 500 character limit. Main focus is accessibility-first software. Thanks!

All the fuss and noise made about this before hand, but the implementation was done well, and AFAIK it's not being misused. Don't actually see it being used very often actually.

I think the crucial thing was including a consent system, so only posts whose authors want them to be quoted can be quoted.
People can set their quoting consent to off by default, so they can avoid being quoted entirely.
