Wireless charging.

You actually only plug one end of the USB cable into the port and it charges the mobile at the other end of the room. The cable acts as a microwave antenna, therefore it makes sense to integrate mid-range wireless charging (3-7 meters distance) into the microwave. Also the klystron in a microwave has enough power for such an application. You couldn't fit a klystron in a typical charger...

@futurebird stupid question. You need to charge your food (or Hamster) before heating it. Cold food (or Hamsters) are known to be low in energy, as the calories are not active in a cold state, so you'll have to charge it Up. As an alternative you can also put a (at least 5000 mAh) fully charged Li-Ion battery into the microwave. Works basically the Same. You're Welcome.

Oh, and just to be on the safe side: if your house burns down, it must've been because you didnt use USB 3.0 or the battery wasn't fully charged.

To combat microwave fish stink at work, you can plug-in 2 high-power air diffusers nearby, and if you hear them running when you're down the hall you know it's time to leave for lunch because Rhonda has friggin' leftover crab cakes and chowder and it's Monday, Rhonda, for cryin' out loud, it's only Monday.
