Does the #nobridge tag work?

Does the #nobridge tag work? I couldn't find any documentation right away. I think if you put it in your profile, it's supposed to prevent bridging of your account to other platforms like #Bluesky. Or maybe it's more human-oriented, as a request to other users.
I set it in my profile(s) and also blocked the bridging bot & the whole bsky.brid.gy domain. I'm not sure if the tag helps or matters.

Oh here it is. Not required for #Mastodon but doesn't hurt. Just block the bot to prevent/disable bridging:

I defederated brid.gy as they seemed to be expecting people to do this as an "opt out" when they first launched.
